We Welcome Volunteers!
Volunteers help Martin County government in many ways. They help at libraries, fire stations, at our community centers, at our County Administrative Center and more! If you would like to share your time and heart by volunteering for Martin County government, please contact the United Way's Volunteer & Community Resource Center at 220-4472, or

The following poem is shared in the memory of former volunteer Tony Datallo, who tirelessly volunteered at the Jensen Beach Library and the Martin County Administrative Center. Tony once shared with us this poem about why he volunteers for Martin County:
Why I Volunteer
It's not for money, not for fame.
It's not for any personal gain.
It's just for love of fellow man.
It's just to lend a helping hand.
It's just to give the tithe of self.
That's something you can't buy with wealth.
It's not for medals won with pride.
It's just for the feeling deep inside.
It's that reward deep in your heart.
