Welcome to Comprehensive Planning!
Martin County's comprehensive plan was adopted in 1990 and is called the Comprehensive Plan. According to State requirements, the comprehensive plan includes numerous policy statements as well as a Future Land Use Map. The Florida Statutes that govern comprehensive planning, often referred to as the "Growth Management Act", provides detailed standards as to the content of comprehensive plans but also for the procedures for amending the adopted plan.

The Department of Community Affairs (DCA) reviews all Comprehensive Plan Amendments (CPA's) and issues an Objections, Recommendations, and Comments (ORC) Report. Once a Comprehensive Plan Amendment has been adopted, the DCA again reviews the amendment and issues a final Notice of Intent (NOI) letter. The reports above are the DCA's ORC reports and NOI on Martin County CPA's.
