Commission Goals for 2010

At the end of a day-long planning meeting, the Board of County Commissioners finalized a set of goals for County staff to complete. Staff will meet to organize these goals, assign teams to bring them to fulfillment, and provide the Commission an action plan with anticipated completion dates for each goal. Following is the list of goals agreed upon:

• Promote a countywide conversation about our future 
• Continue to promote Martin County as open for business
• Review government salary and compensation
• Support continued funding and construction of the CERP/IRL project
• Identify partners in economic development initiatives
• Revise incentives to fill vacancies in CRAs through targeted economic gardening 
• Develop a public/private partnership to manage county-owned conservation and parks lands
